What is the functional difference between the birdseye side and the plain side?
The birdseye side has a textured pattern of small recessed dots. The plain side is smooth, flat, and fully opaque, making it perfect for printed designs, team logos, or as a clean exterior surface. Both sides dry equally fast because the fabric is 100% polyester.

Is 160GSM thick enough for reversible team jerseys?
Yes. 160GSM is a popular weight for reversible jerseys – it provides enough opacity (the plain side is fully opaque; the birdseye side is semi-opaque) and durability for a full season of play. It is also light enough to prevent overheating. For heavier contact sports, a 180-200GSM version is available upon request.

Can I print or embroider on the birdseye side?
Screen printing and heat transfer work well on the birdseye side, but the texture may cause very slight dotting in solid areas. For sharp, solid coverage, we recommend printing on the plain side. Embroidery works cleanly on both sides – the birdseye texture does not interfere with stitch formation.

Yes. We offer a GRS-certified recycled polyester version of this exact 160GSM double-face fabric. The recycled yarn is sourced from post-consumer PET bottles. The quick-dry performance (22 minutes), breathability (180-220 CFM), tear strength (>24N), and wicking properties are all within 5% of the virgin version. The birdseye texture, plain side finish, and reversible function are identical. Minimum order for recycled is 800 meters. Please request a recycled swatch and a copy of the GRS certificate for verification.

What is the typical lead time for this fabric?
For custom Pantone colors, add 10-12 days for lab dip development and approval. Bulk production then takes 25-30 days. Expedited service may be available for orders ≥2000 meters – please inquire.

How do I care for garments made from this double-face fabric?
Machine wash cold (30°C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry – the fabric dries quickly. Do not use fabric softener; it can coat the fibers and reduce wicking on the birdseye side. Iron on low (synthetic setting) if needed. Following these steps, the fabric will retain its quick-dry and reversible performance for over 50 washes.
