The large stripe pattern – Prominent flowing stripe elements appear – is achieved through cationic dyeing technology. Cationic polyester yarns take color deeply while background yarns remain lighter, creating a permanent two-tone effect with crisp, vivid contrast that will not wash out or fade. The single jersey structure (plain knit) gives the fabric a smooth face, soft drape, and excellent breathability – air moves freely through the knit, keeping the wearer cool during warm weather or active use. Is the large floral stripe printed or dyed?
The pattern is created by cationic dyeing. The fabric is knitted with cationic-dyeable polyester yarns arranged in the floral stripe design. When placed in a cationic dye bath, those yarns absorb deep color while the background remains light or white. This produces a permanent two-tone pattern that is part of the fabric – not a surface print – so it will not fade, crack, or peel.

Is 135GSM see-through?
Light colors (white, pastel backgrounds) can be semi-sheer, especially when stretched. For garments that require full opacity, we recommend using a lining or choosing a darker base color. For costumes or layered wear, the slight sheerness is often acceptable. We can also increase the weight to 150-160GSM for better opacity upon request.

How breathable is 220-260 CFM?
Very breathable. For comparison, a typical cotton t-shirt is around 100-150 CFM. This fabric allows nearly twice as much air flow, making it ideal for hot and humid conditions. It is often used for summer activewear and tropical festival costumes.

Can I customize the large floral stripe pattern?
Yes. We can develop custom cationic patterns based on your artwork. The design must be translated into a yarn placement map for the cationic dyeing process. Minimum order for custom cationic patterns is 800 meters. Lead time for strike-off samples is 15-20 days.

How do I care for garments made from this fabric?
Machine wash cold (30°C) with similar colors. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Iron on low (synthetic setting) if needed. Do not use fabric softener – it can reduce breathability and wicking. The cationic dye is stable, so color migration is not a concern.

Is this fabric suitable for sublimation printing over the pattern?
Sublimation printing over the existing floral stripe is not recommended because the cationic pattern will show through or clash with the print. If you need full-coverage custom graphics, we recommend starting with a white cationic single jersey (no pattern) and sublimating your design. This fabric is best used as-is for its unique two-tone floral stripe.
